Overview
Funding modalities
This section of our Living Archive provides comprehensive resources and documentation to support collaborative international programming under the ERA-NET framework. Here, you’ll find practical guidance on different funding approaches and models that have been implemented across the ERA-NETs that are part of the Green ERA-Hub, to streamline cross-border research initiatives. This collection includes key documents, such as joint call frameworks, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents, designed to assist with the smooth execution of international calls. It also covers essential elements such as feedback letters, announcements, and documentation on managing over- and under-subscription, ensuring transparency and responsiveness in funding allocation. Together, these resources serve as a compendium of best practices, illustrating effective funding models and solutions to common challenges in collaborative research funding.
Widening & Outreach
This section of our Living Archive offers resources to enhance engagement and inclusion for regions underrepresented in European Agri-food and biotechnology research collaborations. This collection includes detailed guidelines on planning, hosting, and evaluating events tailored for widening countries. Resources cover practical elements like preparing event agendas, defining participant profiles, creating invitation strategies, and identifying relevant contacts within the widening sphere. Additionally, it highlights effective networking tools and showcases successful examples from initiatives like ERA-Gas, FOSC, and LEAP-Agri. Together, these documents aim to support new projects in fostering international collaboration and building robust partnerships for sustainable research impact.
Research Priorisation
This section of our Living Archive offers comprehensive resources to guide strategic planning in Agri-food and biotechnology research. Here you will find methodologies for prioritizing research areas, such as survey design, consultations, joint stakeholder workshops, literature reviews, and bibliometric analysis. It includes examples of surveys and consultation processes, policy report compilations, and recommendations from joint workshops that bring together policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders. By aligning research goals with EU policies and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), these tools can support new coordination projects in identifying impactful research priorities and fostering innovation in Agri-food and biotechnology.
Monitoring Evaluation and Impact Assessment
This section compiles key insights and resources developed across 15 ERA-NETs to assist in tracking and measuring the effectiveness of research funding initiatives in Agri-food and biotechnology. This section includes a categorized repository of monitoring and impact indicators that can be adapted for different types of calls and thematic areas. Additionally, a consultation document is available for selecting appropriate metrics based on project type and goals. Once available, guidelines on the use of the new "Remosys" platform—developed by WP4—will further support users in streamlining monitoring and impact evaluation through standardized functionalities and improved data access.
